MaTiSte® is an American based company with an all-female ownership based in Hamden, Connecticut. MaTiSte® specializes in the leather manufacturer of designer footwear, handbags and accessories from Italy. The company thrives on producing unique and stylish footwear, handbags and accessories from Italy through their four main collections, MaTiSte®, DUCA BY MATISTE®, EMILIO FRANCO® and FENNIX®.

The four main collections of MaTiSte® encompass the company’s originality and flair with the use of vibrant leathers and exotic skins. MaTiSte® creates handmade footwear, handbags and accessories in Italy with particular care to details and outstanding craftsmanship. Every product we produce is completed by Italian artisans specializing in the manufacturing of footwear and accessories, with exceptional attention to detail.

In 2004 MaTiSte® purchased the footwear label EMILIO FRANCO®. EMILIO FRANCO® has been producing leather footwear and accessories since 1980 and distributing to American retailers from New York to California. Tina Pellegrino and Maria De Vivo, owners and creators of MaTiSte® are first generation Italian Americans who began MaTiSte® from the inspiration of their father Frank, original creator of EMILIO FRANCO®. While continuing to build the EMILIO FRANCO® footwear line, our company began manufacturing the DUCA BY MATISTE® footwear leather line and the MaTiSte® line of leather handbags. In 2014 MaTiSte® acquired the exotic line of footwear FENNIX® of Italy further expanding our footwear lines available to our retailers in the US. We pride ourselves on being an American small business helping our community through our daily work and charities.
